9月29日（月）〜10月3日（金）の期間、オーストラリアから留学生が本校に来校しました！
そのうち数名の留学生が、和太鼓の体験に参加してくれました。 

笑顔いっぱいに楽しそうに叩いてくれていたことが印象的でした。 

短期留学を終えた生徒たちは、10月3日（金）に本校を後にし、日本各地を観光したのち、オーストラリアへ帰国されました。
お別れの日には、和太鼓部が感謝の気持ちを込めて2曲を演奏しました。 

オーストラリアに帰っても、日本のこと、西山高校のこと、そして和太鼓の響きを忘れずにいてくれたら嬉しいです！
またいつか、和太鼓をきっかけに再び出会える日を楽しみにしています！

From Monday, 29 September to Friday, 3 October, a group of students from Australia visited our school!
A few of the exchange students joined our wadaiko (Japanese drum) experience session, and it was wonderful to see their big smiles as they happily tried playing the drums for the first time. 

After finishing their short-term stay, the students left our school on Friday, 3 October.
They spent some time travelling around Japan before returning home to Australia. 

At the farewell gathering, our Wadaiko Club “Miyabi” performed two pieces as a token of our appreciation.
We truly hope they will always remember Japan, Kyoto Nishiyama High School, and the powerful sound of wadaiko! 

We look forward to meeting again someday — perhaps through the beat of the drums! 🥁🇯🇵🇦🇺
